Mountain men

The trappers found the area rich with wildlife and traveled through the region in their quest to obtain furs. Jim Baker, famous trapper, guide, and scout, chose this valley in his later years to settle with his family. The log cabin he built, can be found at the little Snake River Museum, in Savery, Wyoming. Today, "mountain men", return to the area to reenact the lives of their predecessors.
